Force user to press alt+ctrl+delete on logon

You can force user to press alt+ctrl+delete on logon.
steps to do so are:
1)go to start-> run
2)type control userpassword2
3)click on advanced tab
4)under secured logon check the box and then click on apply.
you are done

Arranging windows on screen

One can arrange windows vertically or horizontally on the screen so that we can work simentaneously on both the windows easily. Just hold the control key and right click on the windows taskbar to the application sofware which is currently in use and just tile two of them together.

Delete files without moving to recycle bin

You can easily delete files without moving to recycle bin. For this you have to edit the group policy of Windows XP. Follow these steps:
1) start -> run -> type gpedit.msc
2) select user configuration -> administrative templates -> windows component -> internet explorer.
3) find "Do not move deleted files to recycle bin" setting.
4) double click on it and then click apply.
you are done with it.
NOTE: you can also do this by pressing shift key simentaneously with delete key when you delete a file.
Warning- editing this setting can lead undesirable affects and you may not be able to disable this feature.

Renaming multiple files

It is possible to rename multiple file at one go. Just select all the files to be renamed and then press F2 key. Give the desired name and then press enter. You are done, file name has been changed.

Make your desktop icon transparent

One can easily remove the shadow of the icons on the desktop. Follow these steps:
1) start-> control panel-> system
2) click on advance tab and then click on setting under performance.

3) tick the checkbox with "use drop shadow for icon on desktop".
you will see that your desktop icon become transparent.

Know your ip address

You can easily know your ip address. follow these steps:
1) start-> run-> cmd
2) type ipconfig
type "ipconfig\all" (without inverted commas) for detail information about your internet connections.

Create screensaver shortcut

You can easily create shortcut for any screen saver. You just need to follow these simple steps:
1)search for all screensaver file starting with *.scr
(start-> search -> *.scr)
If you don't find any just download it from any screensaver site.
2)Create shortcut on desktop.
double click on it to apply the screensaver.
